What the figure scales with
- Active projects
- The number of live delivery projects on your record. Archived and completed projects do not count.
- Seats
- People inside your firm who log in. Read-only access for the developer, council or authority across the counter is handled separately — see below.
- At larger scale
- Single sign-on, a dedicated environment, custom retention and audit exports, and authority-side seat pools are scoped in the quote.
Councils and authorities
Council development engineering teams and referral authorities are quoted on their own footprint, usually by live application volume rather than seats, and typically procure after a security review. Start with the security and sovereignty pack and a 20-minute walkthrough; the quote follows the review.

Why is there no price list?
Because a two-person consultancy with four subdivisions and a council development engineering team with sixty live applications are not the same product footprint. Engis is priced per firm, council or authority, scaling with active projects and seats. You get an indicative figure within one business day of asking, and a firm quote once we understand your footprint.
What does every tier include?
Australian hosting and data residency, onboarding with a delivery engineer, and the Xero, Vicmap, VicPlan and ArcGIS integrations come with every tier. Modules and limits step up by tier; your quote names the tier and lists exactly what is in it, so nothing turns into a surprise add-on later.
Who pays when a council or authority is invited onto a project?
The firm that owns the project record. How council and referral-authority access is scoped and priced depends on the volume of shared projects and is set out in your quote; it is never a surprise line item added later.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The free 7-day trial opens a read-only workspace on a seeded Victorian subdivision the moment you submit the form. No credit card.
What is the setup fee for?
The setup fee is the onboarding cost, and it scales with what has to move. A firm starting fresh, or with a handful of live projects, needs little more than a working session with a delivery engineer. A firm with twenty users and four hundred live projects needs its project records, permit conditions, authorities, claims and documents migrated onto Engis and its people trained, and that is scoped and quoted as a one-off setup fee alongside the subscription. There is no integration fee for the integrations that exist in the product today.
