Engis is built for land development consultancies that care about who holds their data and on what terms. This page is what we tell procurement teams and counsel before any demo, trial, or contract.
§1Ownership & independence
Engis is owned and operated by its founder.
Engis is an independent Australian SaaS — owned and built outside any single consulting firm. The firm that piloted the platform is a paying customer, not an owner, sponsor, or partner.
§2Data isolation
Each tenant's data is fully isolated at the database level via row-level security on a per-firm basis. One firm's users cannot read another firm's data through any API or UI path. This isolation is verified by automated tests on every release.
§3NDA
A mutual NDA is available on request before any demo, trial, or onboarding. Email info@engis.au and we will send the template by return.
§4IP & data ownership
You own: your project data, fee schedules, contacts, and any documents you upload.
We own: the Engis platform code, schema design, AI prompts, and brand.
You can export all data you own at any time, and on termination. There is no proprietary file format — exports are plain CSV and JSON.
§5Privacy
Customer data is hosted in Australia (Supabase Sydney region). We honour customer rights — access, correction, deletion, export — within thirty days of a written request.
We do not sell or share customer data with third parties. The only sub-processors are the infrastructure providers required to run the platform (database, email delivery, error monitoring), each contractually bound to confidentiality.
§6Security posture
- Authentication via Supabase Auth.
- TLS in transit; AES-256 at rest.
- Sentry for error monitoring, with PII filtering.
- Daily automated backups, 30-day retention.
- Penetration test commissioned at customer #3.
§7Conflict of interest disclosure
Engis's founder is currently employed at one of our pilot customers. The pilot relationship is contractual; the founder receives no preferential treatment, the pilot firm has no claim on Engis's IP, roadmap, or competitor onboarding, and pilot customer data is isolated from all other tenants under §2.
